This Fall Protection training is designed for workers who face unique hazards when working at heights, such as poles, towers, lofts, gridwork, and other elevated structures. In this course, workers will learn essential fall protection techniques and how to use the proper equipment to prevent falls and injuries while performing tasks in potentially dangerous environments. By the end of the course, workers will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves from fall-related accidents, ensuring safer work practices when working at heights in industry. This training is essential for maintaining worker safety, reducing workplace injuries, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Learning Objectives
- Identify Fall Hazards: Recognize potential fall hazards specific to utility work environments, including power lines, elevated platforms, and structures, such as poles and towers.
- Proper Use of Fall Protection Equipment: Learn how to select, inspect, and properly use fall protection equipment, such as harnesses, lanyards, and lifelines, to prevent accidents during high-risk tasks.

This Fall Protection Training course is an awareness course and includes the areas outlined in 29 CFR 1910.28 (General Industry Fall Protection Systems and Criteria), 29 CFR 1910.29 (General Industry Fall Protection and Training Requirements), 29 CFR 1910.269 (Electric Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution), 29 CFR 1910.21-30 (General Industry Walking-Working Surface), and 29 CFR 1910.147 (Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)), as applicable. This course satisfies the regulatory requirement(s).
